Knitting projects on the go:
- Gorgeous mottled blue (theoretically maple leafs’ colours)toque – 2″band and 16 / 25 rows for next section completed. Wool: malabrigo : Kettle Dyed Pure Merino Wool. (sumptous sounding yes?) [First use of stitch marker. Did not pay $8.95 for wee bag of stitch markers. Observed shape and used leftover plumbing circles from Sheryl:Crowbot project . ]
Knitting projects completed:
- Cable knit scarf, alpaca silk/wool blend. Forest green colour, with 2 striped wood buttons. size 11US bamboo needles. *
- Goat booties. (must remember to ask friend & colleague (FM) if she minds me posting pic of booties with the beautiful LP) .100 % cotton (the basic stuff), garish pink. size 4mm needles. Goat title refers to 50% turning heel issue on one bootie, 50% fault of lamo internet pattern. Not linked for newbies safety.
- Baby bibs – (4). Following variations on the garter stitch pattern, courtesy of Dawn Cloveraine. Wool: 2 with a bamboo (repeating theme in this 2.0 knitting era) and silk blend. Colors: Violet and cream. 2 with 100% cotton (also the basic non-eco stuff) cream and lime-green/yellow blend. size 4.5 mm old school zeller’s metal needles. with blue rubber bands holding the stitches in place.
*First discovery of bamboo as material for knitting needles. Prior to this was using Zellers metal needles.
